Hani Khalifa is one of the Egypt top acclaimed directors.
Hani Gradated from the High Cinema Institute in 1993 major film making.
Right after his graduation Hani worked as an assistant director with iconic directors like Khairy Beshara, Dawod Abd El Sayed, Radwan El Kashef and Mohamed Rady.
In 2003 he directed his first movie ”Sahar El Layaly”. Sahar El Layaly, was one of the first Egyptian movies that openly discussed deep couples relationships issues , it was blockbuster in the movie industry, featuring top actors like Ahmed Helmy, Mona Zaki, Sherif Monir , Hannan Tork and many more.
In 2011 when Hany directed the first pan Arab series “The University” featuring new talents from the Arab region. The series discussed different important subjects that youth go through in their university years like love relationships, drug addiction, and Religion extremism.
From 2015 till 2018, Hany directed different top rated Ramadan drama series ,from the modern drama like ’Foq mostawa el shobohat’ and ‘Al hisab ygmaa’ featuring Yosra, to the historical drama “Layaly Augine”, which was a highly acclaimed series featuring zafer abdeen, Amina Khalil and Carmen bsaibes. During that time Hany , directed the movie “Sukar Mor” featuring a big number of young Egyptian talents , discussing different relationship dynamics.
In 2020, Hany took a part of one of top Shaid orginal series “ Nemra Etnien”, the series tells various stories that deal with romantic relationships and the concept of romance in modern society across 6 different Arab cities, including Riyadh, Cairo, Beirut, and Dubai. Each episode of the Series was written and directed by different talents.
In 2022, Hany directed “El Leilla Wi El Fiha” one of Shaid’s original series featuring Zeina. The series was one of the 10 top ranked series on shahid during and after airing. It was highly talked about on social media and it was a huge success according to the media outlets given the nature of the story which was about When the man she is having an affair with dies in her home, Rasha, a married woman, is forced to hide his body from her husband and resort to methods that make her fall prey to blackmail and fear.
