Egypt’s sweetheart, the girl next door and a force to reckon with; Mona Zaki is all that and much more. Young and playful, Zaki auditioned for her first role ever just hoping to meet superstar actor and director Mohamed Sobhi and ended up getting a role in his play “Bel Arabi Al Faseeh”.

What started as a playful attempt soon turned into a serious career where Mona starred as the lead actress in many blockbusters, plays and TV series. There’s something about Mona! She has qualities that make her fit for all kinds of roles.

Zaki appreciates the challenge yet is cool enough to embrace light roles every now and then, just as much. Mona proved that her diverse talents, dedication and balance of nonchalant and light, powerful and serious make her perfect for any role.

Mona Zaki has amazed the Arab world with her two latest Ramadan series in 2021 “Newton’s candle” and 2023 “ Taht El wasaya”. Which has proved again to the world her extreme talent

Aside from her acting roles, Zaki is a UNICEF ambassador who has contributed immensely to raising awareness on many national advocacy campaigns covering child-related topics; including child labor, malnutrition, poverty, the effects of violence on children and FGM.

Zaki also takes part in many charity initiatives, the latest being a public calling for celebrities to sponsor the families most affected by the COVID-19 health crisis.

Mona is married to ever-so-popular actor Ahmed Helmy and they have three children; Li Li, Selim and Younis.
